Getting something done – Screenshots included!

As many of you would know, after first conceiving the idea of Pivot way back in 2005, not much has happened. During the first half of 2007, I finally got my act together and found an art style I liked. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, things had to get worse before they got better.

Towards the end of 2007, my motivation went on vacation, and only at the beginning of 2008 did it return. As much as I hate to admit, this is the first time that Pivot actually began being worked upon regularly. Thankfully, things finally did start getting better. A lot better. During the past few weeks I’ve worked on it an incredible amount. I understand my track record of on-off development, but hopefully this is for good.

The following are two in-game shots from Pivot. Click to enlarge.

Pivot features a unique loading style. When you load the game, you'll go to this unique stage, where you can chat to characters, read the story and learn some stuff. Afterwards, you can simply walk to the right and return to where you last were.

Particle effects have been added where possible to keep the game looking modern, while remaining at a consistent 60FPS.

Making stages has taken a little longer then I first anticipated, but that’s ok, work is progressing smoothly.

Oh, and I wouldn’t bother about the Pivot Demo any more, things have gotten a lot better since. Trust me, that thing was terrible.
