Cheese Media and games

It’s been almost 2 months now since Cheese Games got revamped to Cheese Media because we wanted to point out that we’re not just focusing on games anymore. So what will happen to our games then?

Cheese Media has had an extremely large boost in visitors since our (now really, it was LostOverThere’s article but I’m greedy and want some credit, too) blog article about Linux tweaks. Most of our new visitors are, because of obvious reasons, Linux users. And we don’t have much to offer for non-Windows users. But that will change.

We’re going to start focusing more on cross-platform games. Pivot is still being made in Game Maker, and I’m helping out more and more with graphics and audio so we’ll get it finished quicker. Now, the problem is that Game Maker 7 is Windows only. However, we see several lights at the end of the long windy tunnel of evil, and one could be G-Creator. G-Creator would allow us to convert Game Maker games into Java applications that would be playable to a big bunch of platforms including Windows, Mac, Linux, and many others. Though, it’s still in early in development stage.Stencyl

Another way of making cross-platform games that is looking very promising is Stencyl. Stencyl is not released yet either, but hopefully it won’t take too long before the first public beta is out and we can start jamming around with it. We have ideas, and as soon as we can make them reality we will.

I hate Windows…it sucks. Crossplatform is the way to go.

Hooray for lights at the end of tunnels!

Unless it’s a train and you’re in a train tunnel. Then lights are bad.

Plant the seeds of expectation in your mind; cultivate thoughts that anticipate achievement. Believe in yourself as being capable of overcoming all obstacles and weaknesses…
